On Monday (November 25, 2024), a pajama party was organized by a volunteer from the Support Service. The event was mostly attended by girls, but a few guys also joined us for a shorter or longer period. We had a mix of international and Hungarian students. Many followed the dress code, and my personal favorite was a shark onesie.
We didn’t lack sweets, fun activities, or laughter. There were various cakes, including pink cookies (perfect for a girly party—thanks, Niki!). And, of course, the essential tea and cocoa were also popular.
We listened to music and shared scary and not-so-scary stories. From these tales, we learned that walking along an unlit, tree-lined road or spending time in an isolated house on Halloween can be truly frightening—especially if someone tries to spook you. At one point, we even turned off the lights, with the storyteller using just a phone for lighting to make the storytelling more atmospheric.
We also painted several people’s nails, added stickers, and styled each other’s hair. At the party’s peak, face masks came out, and bears and seals stared back at us from one another’s faces.
